Over 100 years of Canadian and Danish tradition
Founded in Denmark in 1901, Northern Feather Canada is built on more than a century of craftsmanship, innovation, and expertise in premium down and feather bedding. Rooted in proud Danish traditions, the company’s heritage began with H.O. Lange, co-founder of Nordisk Fjerfabrik (Northern Feather), who helped expand the business across more than 21 countries.
Established in Canada in 1976, Northern Feather Canada has continued that legacy for over four decades, combining European craftsmanship with Canadian manufacturing excellence to create premium bedding trusted for comfort, quality, and durability.

Northern Feather Canada is the only Canadian bedding manufacturer with in-house IDFL-certified testing, advanced processing technology, and automated production facilities. From our British Columbia plant, every product is crafted to the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency.
Our manufacturing, inspection, and quality control systems are closely monitored by experienced professionals at every stage of production — ensuring premium comfort, durability, and trusted performance in every product we create.
All of our product shells are 100% Oeko-Tex® Certified. Northern Feather is Oeko-Tex® Certified. This certified label found on our products ensures that all materials used are safe for everyone and free of harmful chemicals and substances.
The certified GOTS label is a standard that is globally recognized for organic fibre certification, ensuring that these products are made from organic fibres. Our maize fibre products feature high-quality organic cotton, which is left undyed and unbleached, retaining its natural colour.
We carry products that contain responsibly sourced down and feather from certified suppliers that practice humane treatment of ducks and geese.
Northern Feather only sources materials from suppliers that are BSCI certified and implement international labour standards and social compliance.
