Mr. Nilsson's European heritage served him well when he provided the initial vision and inspiration for Northern Feather Canada, the company he founded in 1976.  Ted's insistence that the tradition of European excellence and craftsmanship he grew up with, combined with the very latest in modern manufacturing techniques, resulted in the high quality products that today bear the Northern Feather name.
 
Over the past three decades and under Ted Nilsson's leadership, the Northern Feather brand has become synonymous with the highest standards, quality and value to be found in the bedding products industry. Northern Feather has been at the forefront of innovation through the years with the introduction of the Temperature Rating System for selecting duvet weight; the exclusive NF 5 down cleaning system; and the baffle box duvet design – which is now found in duvet designs from manufacturers the world over.
 
Mr. Nilsson continues to be involved in the day-to-day operation of Northern Feather and he continues to take pride in the high standards he has set for the company which are reflected in each and every Northern Feather product.
